Casting

Name: Molly Judge

Age:17

I have chosen Molly to be my main artist as I think her style and look suit the music video theme well. She often wears very edgy and fashionable clothing which goes well with the dance genre. As Molly is a close friend of mine I know how reliable and easy to work with she is therefore making it easier for the production of my video to be smoother. Molly was a previous G.C.S.E media studies student and therefore will understand many of the conventions of music videos and how much detail and work needs to be put in to make a successful one.


Artist's Back Story:The artist Molly will be playing is a confident 19 year old from London who has just made it big in the music industry. "Tennis Court" is her first number one single. She is very well known for her fashionable, up-to-date style which especially appeals to mid teens (15/16) to young adults (24/25). The artists look can be seen in the mood board below. The aritst will have a very strong edgy look which can be seen through her style and makeup. She often has very smoky eye makeup in order to portray this.

Name: Freddie Singer

Age: 17 

I have chosen Freddie to be in my music video as I know that he is very reliable and easy to work with. I think that his look can be styled well to fit the music video theme. Also I know that Freddie is good at working in front of the camera and so will be able to follow direction easily and with out fuss. He will be playing Molly's partner who escapes with her to the woods.

Location

The filming for my video will take place in Hermitage woods. This is because I believe this area of woodland is big enough and spread out enough to film. There is also enough light in this wood and so means a higher quality of footage can be taken.

Time 

Day: 19th October 

Time: 11 till 6 

Costume and Makeup

I want the costumes used to be very casual yet stylish. This is because I want to create a sense of freedom and comfort whilst still giving the edgy look of the dance genre. 

Molly:

Molly's makeup will be very natural using browns and nudes for the eyes. I will use darker plum colours on her lips to make the look more edgy and fashionable. The colours also compliment the autumnal colours of the woods. 

Freddie:

Freddie's costume will be casual in order to give off the happy and relaxed feel that the characters are attempting to portray. His hair will also be styled in this way, to create a scruffy yet combed back look. I believe this will give him the edge to the style that can help to represent the dance genre. 

Projector images

I want to use images of the sky as it is a good way of representing the idea of the protagonists feeling free and therefore helps to echo the narrative of the video. I think the sky is also very visually interesting and so will add detail and excitement to the images/video. I also feel like the visuals of water can portray this.
In addition to link these images to the others in the music video I will also include projections of trees and the forest.
