- The story may or may not be linked to the lyrics
- Usually contains performance elements

- The flash backs help to reveal the idea of the present narrative and situation
Concept-based:
- Creative
- Mainly based around certain idea or concepts
- Do not always have to feature the artist
- Usually unique in some way
